On Feb 11 at 7 pm at Camano Library, we are hosting an “Intro to SWS” public meeting. We hope you will invite people you know to come and find out about becoming a Sound Water Steward. And, if a friend of yours attends Feb 11, we hope you will be there too.
Why become a Sound Water Steward?
- Learn about and explore your island community. Take advantage of this opportunity to dive into the wonders of our natural world.
- Learn how to preserve your favorite beach, or expand your understanding of wildlife habitat and conservation.
- A wide-range of guest speakers and field trips to learn how you can make a difference where you live.
Please spread the word. SWS training is so powerful. Let’s share it.
Training is a combination of indoor lectures by experts and guided field trips for a total of 100 hours: 45 hours spring training, 10 hours summer projects, 45 hours fall training.
Dates: March 12-April 23
Sept 10-October 23
Thursdays, 9:00 am to 3:30 pm
Classroom presentations are held at Cama Center at Cama Beach State Park on Camano (Discover Pass Required), with field trips to a wide variety of places.
Come Feb 11 to get answers to your questions.
