Extreme Low Tide Field Trip-Bush Pt

IF the trip is not full one day before, then Class of 2021 Trainees are welcome to fill in the slots.

Meet creatures rarely visible at most tide levels on this special field trip for SWS Members.

With an exciting -3.7 tide, we will explore the creatures of one of our most beautiful beaches — Bush Point North. This beach is remarkable for richness of its erratic-boulder-cobble habitat sitting side-by-side with sandy beach habitats too!

This means that we may see a wider variety of species than usual, especially at these extra low-tide levels. So bring your ID guides, your cameras, and your curiosity and take advantage of this great opportunity.

The other great plus at Bush Point North is that the beach is composed largely of hard sands and gravels, making it easier to get to these rocky sites than at other beaches.
