You, Me, and the Whales of the Salish Sea

About the Class

1:15 PM - 2:30 PM Session 3
Speaker: Erin Gless

The Salish Sea is one of the best places in the world to observe whales in their natural habitat. The cold, rich waters of Washington and British Columbia attract killer whales, humpback whales, gray whales, and minke whales. This class will teach participants how to identify the region’s whale species and dive deeper into their behavior and travel patterns. We’ll also highlight some of the major challenges local whales face, and provide advice on how to be good whale stewards.
