Shared Values, Shared Success: Uniting to Protect Our Waters
Sound Waters University is proud to welcome Washington State’s Commissioner of Public Lands, Hilary Franz, as our 2019 Keynote Speaker. As Commissioner of Public Lands, Hilary Franz administers the state Department of Natural Resources and its 1,500 employees. She protects and manages nearly six million acres of public lands in Washington State– from coastal waters and aquatic reserves, to working forests and farms, to commercial developments, and recreation areas.
Commissioner Franz will discuss the need for hope and optimism in the face of environmental challenges. By uniting around shared values–and pursuing policies that deliver shared benefit–we will protect and preserve our sacred waters. Where there are great challenges, great opportunities also exist. Join us, as we learn how Commissioner Franz is working towards building a future of opportunity and access for all.
