Join master birders Craig and Joy Johnson as they tour Whidbey Island’s diverse birding habitats and get close-up views of some of the birds that gravitate to them.
Craig Johnson is known for his beautiful watercolor art and photography of local birds and wildlife. Their latest movie, "Birding Whidbey Island," features Craig’s best footage yet of local wildlife, including some interesting bird behaviors that are seldom witnessed. Craig and Joy will be presenting this fast paced, 60 minute movie, with time for questions afterward. Using his video, audio and computer skills, Craig has put movies together into DVD form to be shared with others.
Together, Craig and Joy have produced several books about local birds for adults and children. Some of you may have seen their first movie, "Birds and Backyard Wildlife Habitat," which provided intimate views of bird life in the Johnson’s yard. Previous showings of Birding Whidbey Island at the Clyde Theater in Langley and Whidbey Audubon Society were filled to capacity, with great reviews!
