4workshops about invasive weeds in 2023 at Greenbank Farm See Our Impact

In 2023, Sound Water Stewards and multiple partner organizations are producing a series of workshops and workparties to teach the public about noxious and invasive weeds, property owner responsibilities and proper timing and technique for safely removing weeds. In this first project, we are removing large sections of invasive weeds at Greenbank Farm on Whidbey. Future projects are planned.

The public is invited and encouraged to attend our workshops and pull up your sleeves and put on your gloves to learn to identify and remove specific invasive species. Search our 2023 Calendar for workshop and workparty dates in March, April, June and August. This year we are targeting:

Poison Hemlock

Tansy

Canada and Bull Thistle

Historically, Stewards have assisted Friends of Whidbey State Parks with weed removal and restoration projects in Central and South Whidbey.
