Sound Water Stewards of Island County, WA
Working for a healthy, sustainable Salish Sea marine environment
The family of Terry Skorheim is holding a Celebration of Life at 94 Edgewater Drive, Camano Island on Sunday, September 25 with an open house from 1 pm-4 pm.
Terry Skorheim loved sharing the beach with families and teaching children and adults about the marine environment. For many years, Terry was the primary person staffing the Cama Beach Foundation’s temporary aquarium at the Low-Tide Beach Walks where the public could help catch and then see-up-close the intertidal fish and invertebrates pulled in via hand-held sein net and returned to salt water a few hours later.
Terry was a role model to all Stewards for interacting with the public and building respect for the marine food web. He was a leader of many Sound Water Stewards activities and always a reliable knowledgeable member of the team. We miss him already.
If you would like to make a donation to Sound Water Stewards in Terry’s honor, please go to “Ways to Give” and look for the heading “Dedicate this Donation” to open a box to put in Terry’s name.
