Event features Maria Ruth, an esteemed author of several natural history books, including Rare Bird, about the Marbled Murrelet, and A Sideways Look at Clouds. For the last several years, she has been researching all there is to know about PIGU in preparation of writing a book about Pigeon Guillemots. During this time, she has uncovered some very fascinating insights into the meanings behind PIGU postural behavior and vocalizations, which she will share with us on the 27th. Maria is also one of us! She is the survey team lead at Edgewater Beach in the Sound Sound region. I think you’ll find that she is extremely knowledgeable, clever, witty, and a joy to hear speak.
