Sound Water Stewards of Island County, WA
Working for a healthy, sustainable Salish Sea marine environment
Everyone that needs a HAB database login should have it and should go in and explore the new portal. Thanks to those that have already been using the site. It looks a tad different, but it is the same robust site. If you don’t have your login details, please send me a quick note at soundtox@uw.edu. Please don’t reply to the listserve.
It is time to schedule our annual meeting and our training date. We will need to do this by ZOOM again this year. Please hold January 25 for the training and January 26 for the annual meeting. Note, if you are a veteran monitor you are more than welcome to take the refresher training. The 26th we will spend the day talking about our stations, the research we were all able to contribute to and a few programmatic updates including a tour of the new data portal and a preview of some of the new things to come. I’ll send out a registration link and the agendas next week. Working now to firm up a few of the speakers.
agenda – A highlight is Tracie Barry’s presentation on Puget Sound marine biotoxins in 2021, on Jan 26.
So looking forward to seeing you all. It has been too long!
Best,
Teri King
