Come see why the shores and waters surrounding our community are internationally recognized as crucial habitat for countless birds of sea, shore and land at the Snow Goose and Birding Festival on Saturday February 24, 2024.
Tours and guides will help you experience one of Western Washington’s most spectacular natural events – the annual winter gathering of thousands of Snow Geese and Trumpeter Swans. In addition, we have flocks of wintering seabirds and shorebirds along with many raptors that call Stanwood and Camano Island home.
Thanks to dedicated volunteers including Tom Hiegler, Tom Eisenberg, and Robin Hanks, this Festival returns to “The Floyd” (Floyd Norgaard Cultural Center, 27130 – 102nd Ave. NW. map below) in Stanwood on 2/24/24!
Please contact Tom Hiegler at hiegler@hotmail.com or (360) 420-3426 if you would like to help on 2/24/2024.Volunteers will sell tickets or check tickets at the door, assist with busses to find the snow geese and swans in the fields, set up and clean up.
More details coming soon.
