Sound Water Stewards of Island County, WA
Working for a healthy, sustainable Salish Sea marine environment
Sierra Club supporters helped sponsor several students to attend Sound Waters University. Now you have the opportunity to meet them.
Hope in Action, the theme for Sound Waters University 2022, wove a message of hope in the Salish Sea through education, research, and action. This symposium featured distinguished environmental authors, change agents, researchers, and naturalists.
Virtual presentations and in-person field trips delivered in-depth information about the area’s wildlife and natural history. The cutting-edge-information focused on the Pacific Northwest’s ecology, its beauty and fragility and infused a hope for a flourishing Salish Sea.
Sound Waters University is an annual educational program by Sound Water Stewards of Island County.
Join via Zoom and meet the educators and several students who attended. Learn about their experiences, what the Sno-Isle group is currently working on, and hear updates on other key local issues. Thursday February 17th at 6 pm.
