Scott Chase will demonstrate how to harvest
the
rain
to
provide
your
indoor
and
outdoor
plants
with
naturally
soft
water!
Learn
what
materials
are
needed,
where
to
get
them,
and
how
to
make
your
own
barrel
at
a
fraction
of
the
cost
of
buying
one.

Scott coordinated the WSU Shore Stewards program for 13 years and since 2006 has held several classes on rain barrels and water conservation. He is currently an active volunteer for Sound Water Stewards, WSU Waste Wise, Island County Marine Resources Committee, and Lighthouse Environmental Programs.

He was awarded the Jan Holmes Coastal Volunteer of the Year Award at Sound Waters University in February of this year, and Snohomish Conservation District’s Lifetime Achievement Award in 2018.
