PBS Kelp of Salish Sea

June 29, 2022 @ 5:00 pm 6:00 pm

The PBS Changing Seas premier of “Kelp: Hidden Treasure of the Salish Sea” will air on June 29th at 5pm PST.  The producer, Liz Smith, spent time on the kelp expedition last July, and used footage from the filmmaker (Florian Graner) who chronicled our 8-day trip. The final PBS episode features lots of information about our collective kelp efforts here in Puget Sound and some great interviews Liz has been able to conduct since then (with Helen, Tom, Todd, and many others).

Folks can tune in to the premier of Changing Seas’ “Kelp: Hidden Treasure of the Salish Sea” episode at 5pm PST on Wednesday, June 29th, on YouTube or Changing Seas Facebook page. Jodie recommends watching on YouTube as that is where PSRF will be watching, and answering questions in the Live Chat.

Folks can view the trailer for the episode here. The trailer, which is great, is only about 3 minutes long and you can watch it now. The episode itself is close to 30 minutes, and will be available to watch anytime after the June 29 premier.

The show was over two years in the making. Liz Smith and the Changing Seas team did a really beautiful job.
