Marianne Elliott and Michael Yadrick are co-presenting a virtual class during the Feb 4 Sound Waters University AND offering two field trips on Feb 11.
Learn about the ecology and range of Pacific madrone (Arbutus menziesii), its pollinators and wildlife associations, and health concerns such as diseases and climate change.
Before you go: Consider installing iNaturalist and/or TreeSnap apps to your mobile device and learn to take pictures and upload reports to assist in ongoing data collection.
Location: Camano Island State Park (CISP) bluff trail. More details will be sent in advance to those with tickets for this trip. The trail is a true forest and bluff trail. Hiking stick and boots preferred.
