The Island County Marine Resources Committee is proud to present its 2021-2022 Annual Report and its 2021-2024 Strategic Plan! In the past year, the committee has put a lot of effort into defining where it needs to be focusing its energy. The committee looks forward to continuing to educate the community about the issues and successes related to Island County’s beautiful marine resources.
The next Island County MRC Meeting will be on Tuesday, March 7th from 3:00-5:00 PM via Zoom.
The Island County Marine Resources Committee will hold an informal working meeting on Tuesday 3/7 3-5PM. There will be no votes or formal business.
This Zoom meeting will use the zoom format to create three planning groups to discuss projects in our 2023 work plan:
It will be a virtual-only planning session, and the bulk of this meeting will involve discussions in one of three breakout rooms. The topics discussed will be derelict vessels, water quality testing, and shoreline armoring.
I am sending this out to alert you that this will not be a business meeting and to welcome you to join us particularly if one of these topics as it applies to Island County is of special interest to you.
