Low-Tide Walk at Cama Beach-July 2023

Calling All Stewards: We need YOUR help to lead/assist with low-tide exploration for the public on the dates listed below for June. Your role is to help children and adults discover species and joys of the rare minus tide beach. Cama Beach offers an excellent easy slope to the eelgrass bed toward the south. July 2, 4, and 31 are special low-tide dates where Cama Beach Foundation volunteers use a sein net to gently bring fish to the water’s edge where small children can use a hand-held net to capture them and put them in buckets which are then carried up to the seawall where fishes are put into an aquarium for all to see up close. Plus a touch tank!
