Garry Oak Work Parties

February 9 @ 10:30 am 1:30 pm

Join Jim Peskuric, Class of 2022 for a bi-weekly gathering to introduce volunteers to opportunities with the Garry Oak Ecosystem Restoration planting project. Starting February 9, he will meet volunteers every other Friday at 10:30 am.

Please let Jim know you are coming (425-599-6094) so he can prepare for the attendees. Here is his email address peskuricj@hotmail.com

Collaborating with Pacific Rim Institute, Sound Water Stewards is focused on reintroducing two primary plant species: Garry Oak and Rhododendron. During colder, wetter days there are interior working opportunities in the greenhouse. On warmer, drier days, mulching, weeding, and other outdoor work must be completed.
