COASST Beached Bird Training
April 9 @ 5:00 PM – 8:30 PM
Are you interested in joining The Coastal Observation And Seabird Survey Team (COASST)? Established in 1999, The COASST is a citizen science project housed at the University of Washington and focused on the beach environment of the northeast Pacific. COASST participants conduct monthly surveys to systematically count and identify bird carcasses that wash ashore along ocean beaches from northern California to Alaska. SWS partners with COASST to survey the beaches on Whidbey and Camano Islands.
