Sound Water Stewards of Island County, WA
Working for a healthy, sustainable Salish Sea marine environment
The public is invited to Cama Beach State Park to explore and learn about the species that live in the minus-tide zone (when the tide falls below 0 feet) to see the species that are only revealed on the rare and spectacular lowest tides of the year. Sponsored by Cama Beach Foundation in partnership with Sound Water Stewards and Cama Beach State Park. Cama Beach offers an excellent easy slope to the eelgrass bed toward the south.
July Dates: July 2**, 3, 4**, 5, 15, 17, 30, 31**

**July 2, 4, and 31 are special low-tide dates where Cama Beach Foundation volunteers use a sein net to gently bring fish to the water’s edge where small children can use hand-held nets to capture them and put the fishes in buckets which are then carried to an awaiting aquarium tank at the seawall for all to see up close. Plus a touch tank!
