Sponsored by Cama Beach Foundation in partnership with Sound Water Stewards and Cama Beach State Park.
August Dates: August 1, 2, 29, 30** ** indicates special low tide with seining and aquarium
Cama Beach offers an easy slope to the eelgrass bed toward the south.
August 30 is a special low-tide event where Cama Beach Foundation volunteers use a sein net to gently bring fish to the water’s edge where small children can use a hand-held net to capture fish and invertebrates and then put them in buckets which are carried up to the seawall where fishes are put into an aquarium for all to see up close. Plus a touch tank!
Meet at the gap in the sea wall.
