Sound Waters University (SWU) – presented by Sound Water Stewards (SWS) – is the largest educational activity and fundraiser of Sound Water Stewards 501(c)(3) non-profit of Island County. Sound Waters University 2023, with its theme “Resilience – from Old Growth Trees to the Life of the Salish Sea,” will include two keynote speakers and nine informative classes virtually, on the ability of the Salish Sea ecosystem to withstand and adapt to climate change, pollution, and habitat loss.
*Salish Sea Sponsors are limited and will receive 2 tickets for their sponsored local field trip. Field trips in and around Island County will expand attendees’ understanding of environmental resilience (February dates determined by tides).
