Cove in Puget Sound

Along the beaches and trails that meander along the edges of the Salish Sea, beachcombers can discover many shore plants that call this area home. Not only are some varieties beautiful in nature, they also are essential to the ecosystem. For example, European beachgrass binds the sand of our beaches and helps to stabilize the sand dunes. No matter which beach you explore, you can count on seeing some of the amazing shore plants that are identified in our EZ ID Guide.
