Teresa moved to Camano Island after many years in the Snoqualmie Valley, where she spent almost two decades teaching high school science, math, and computer science. She led a unique alternative education program that emphasized project-based learning, environmental stewardship, and strong partnerships with families and community organizations. Her favorite teaching moments often involved getting students outside and engaged in hands-on science, whether restoring stream banks or testing water quality in local rivers.

Teresa has a lifelong passion for learning, community building, and protecting natural places. She’s excited to support the mission of Sound Water Stewards and contribute to the incredible volunteer efforts on Camano Island. Outside of work, Teresa enjoys biking, hiking with her dog Miska, and spending time with her family. She’s happiest when she’s outdoors—exploring trails, listening to shorebirds, or sharing a beach walk with friends.
