2024 Volunteer Education & Training Application Due 3/10/24

We are delighted you would like to become a member of Sound Water Stewards (SWS) and take the Volunteer Education and Training (VET) in 2024. Training is required to become a member and is only offered once each year. All current Stewards have completed this 100-hour training.

Your application expresses your desire to be active in Sound Water Stewards’ education, science, and stewardship programs for many years to come. Through training, you will gain knowledge of the beaches, marine life, and ecosystems of Island County, enhance your sense of place, learn the challenges facing the environment, and build connections with Stewards and your classmates.

Before you begin: we are going to ask you to submit a photo of yourself. Please find a photo (.jpg or .png, not .heic) that you would like to share with your classmates and the SWS membership (it will not be accessible to the general public). If you want to swap out one photo for another at a later date, we will happily comply. If you are unable to complete the form in one sitting, you may save a partially complete application form. At the bottom of the page, you will see a button to send yourself a link to get back into the form.
