Lou has taught at Skagit Valley College on the Whidbey campus for 25 years. His area of expertise includes Anthropology, Sociology, Native American Studies, and Ethnic Studies. He has worked in Archaeology and Ethnology on Whidbey and elsewhere for more than 35 years.
He has also taught wilderness survival for over 35 years.
Lou is a Seneca/Mohawk Native American.
He is also a professional Native American story teller. He tells stories all over the United States, as well as in Europe and New Zealand.
He is married and has one grown son. He raises horses and many other animals.
